These terms cover your use of the OxSlate app and this website. By using OxSlate you agree to them. They are written to describe how the app actually works rather than to claim rights the product does not use.
OxSlate lets one person (the supporter) keep a queue of household admin — bills, renewals, appointments — and send another person (the recipient) one calm reminder at a time. The recipient needs no account. It is a household organisation and reminder tool.
You must be 18 or older to be a supporter and to enter into these terms. OxSlate is not directed at children and is not intended for anyone under 13. Only add reminders for another person where it is reasonable to do so and where they are willing to receive them; the recipient can pause, stop, or disconnect at any time, and you agree to respect that.

The recipient's controls are not obstacles to work around. Attempting to defeat them — for instance by repeatedly re-inviting someone who has disconnected — is a misuse of the app.
Reminder content is yours. You grant us only the limited permission needed to store and deliver it between the two phones and to provide the features you use, such as reading a dictated list into separate reminders. We do not sell your content and we do not use it to train AI models. What we collect and how it flows is set out in the Privacy policy.
Some features require a paid subscription, sold through Google Play. Price and billing period are shown before you buy. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled, and you manage or cancel them in your Google Play account; cancelling stops the next renewal and leaves access until the end of the paid period. Refunds are handled under Google Play's policies. The recipient is never charged and never sees a paywall.
We aim to keep OxSlate working but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. The app is designed to schedule reminders on the device so they still arrive without a network connection, but no reminder service can be perfect, and you should not treat OxSlate as a fail-safe for anything critical. We may change or discontinue features.
You may stop using OxSlate at any time by disconnecting and uninstalling. You can delete your data as described on the account deletion page. We may suspend or end access for use that breaks these terms or puts another person at risk.
To the extent the law allows, OxSlate is provided "as is", and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for a reminder that is delayed, missed, or not delivered. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
We may update these terms. Material changes will be reflected by the date above, and continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
